We are able to provide families and schools with multiple options to meet the needs of children and adolescents.

PSYCHOLOGICAL AND EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

Is your child struggling to make progress at school?  Is he or she having difficulty learning to read or not keeping up in math or other subjects?  Does your child struggle socially, have difficulty making or keeping friends?  Are you concerned that he or she has a learning disability (such as dyslexia), autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or other developmental delays?  Psychological and/or educational assessment may help you and the school to better understand your child's needs.

Although we typically prefer to conduct evaluations in person, some assessment services may be available for administration through a virtual/online session. If you are interested in this option, please contact us using the location/contact us page, linked above, to discuss your needs.

Counseling For Children, Adolescents, and Adults

Are you or your child experiencing difficulty facing life's challenges?  Are there difficulties with friendships or conflict in family relationships?  Are you struggling with your child's behavior at home or school?  Do you or your child worry excessively about normal events or seem unusually irritable or sad?  Therapy can help in many different situations, from relatively minor relationship or adjustment issues to anxiety, depression, and grief.  A therapist may help you or your child develop more positive coping skills, social skills, or just provide a safe and confidential place to share thoughts and feelings and work through problems. We provide individual, couples, and family therapy.

PARENT EDUCATION, CONSULTATION, AND ADVOCACY

Do you feel confused and unprepared to cope with your child's recent diagnosis?  Do you want to have more information about how to help your child be successful?  Would you like to better understand Special Education, Multi-Tiered Systems of Supports (MTSS), Response to Intervention (RtI), or other school-based service models being offered to your child?  Do you feel uncomfortable or confused at school meetings and want to have someone at the table to help represent you and your child?  Parent education, consultation, or advocacy services might be for you.
